Creative Flow Circle | Merry Barn: Kids!

Service Description

On Sunday, May 19th, kids ages 8-14 are invited to a special Creative Flow Circle at Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat. Participants will join Morgan Mitchell, creatress and flowcilitator, and Stephanie McSherry, executive director of the Merry Barn Writers’ Retreat, to “move color” to instrumental music, across a circle of easels. Rotating easels as the music changes, each participant adds to every creation without ownership or concern about the final product. The inner critic softens as the gradual process of joyful collective creativity unfolds, and the creations are beyond imagination. Young people are the perfect participants for this creative exercise, with their openness and boundless creative energies. After participants have moved throughout the circle and left their unique marks on every canvas, we will break for a seasonal snack and conversation before gathering again to take in our creations and work on individual and collective responses. No experience or art skill necessary. All materials are supplied. This special Creative Flow will run from 3-4:30 p.m. at the Merry Barn, 417 River Road, Edgecomb. Cost is $30.
